Team Kiara

Kiara considers herself to be a Princess and as such, she requires that she have her own special chair for all dock diving events. If someone mistakenly sits in her chair, she will immediately hop onto their lap (at 78 lbs) and sit there until you have the good sense to get up, and then she makes a mad dive onto the chair ensuring that you will not sit back down! She can be seen lounging proudly in her chair during her down time between waves. Also, as a self-proclaimed Princess – she also enjoys posing for pictures as soon as she sees a camera!

Kiara competed in her first official event at the Pet Expo in Harrisburg, PA in 2006, followed by the Summer Blast event at Codorus State Park, where she placed second in the Junior division at both events! Since those events she has progressed in her jumping distance and now is titled as a Senior jumper. At the DVGRR event in 2008, Kiara tried her paws at Speed Retrieve for the first time ever and proudly finished with a time of 9.0! Kiara enjoys lounging quietly in her chair during down time, but when it comes time to hit the dock, she can be heard for miles around as she barks in excitement waiting for her turn.

Kiara likes to keep busy in the off season by such activities as agility class (she is a terror on the A-frame!), hiking, swimming, and lots of doggie play dates.
